Ressie Peters (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Ressie J. Peters age 102 was born to John James Arnold and Susan Malinda Phariss Arnold on March 14, 1916. She passed away Sunday July 1, 2018 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield Mo.
She leaves her son Larry Peters & wife Sandra; a daughter, Marilyn & Husband Doug Cates, five grandchildren, Brian Clark, Tamra McHaffie, Gina Stephens, Angie Wiley, and Marla McKan; three step- grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, Niki Stephens, Wil Stephens, Kyle Clark, Summer Clark, Briana McKan, Austin McKan, Logan Wiley, Jaden Wiley and Tatum Clark; one great-great-grandchild; and one step great-great-grandchild. She also leaves several Nieces, Nephews and lots of friends who will all truly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Everett who died in 1979; an Infant Baby Girl; her Father and Mother; three Brothers; four Sisters; and a dear Son-In-Law, Dennis Clark.
She loved her family and was the happiest when she could get them all together. She also loved her church family. She was a member of Calvary Chapel Church. She graduated from Urbana High School and married Everett Peters.
She dearly loved children. She worked with Brownies, Cub Scouts and Baby sited for a while. She taught many years in Sunday School. She also loved gardening and flowers and did lots of sewing and handwork.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Calvary Chapel Children’s Building Fund.
