Rosalie was my mom's sister. I hadn't seen Uncle Raymond & Aunt Rosalie in about 5 years. But they were my favorite Aunt & Uncle. As a child in California in the 60s, Uncle Raymond was the only person in my family who would play "catch" with my little tomboy self. Aunt Rosalie was always smart and kind, and beautiful. I remember when I was in my 20's, I visited them in Windsor, Missouri. (Yes, we all showed back up in Missouri eventually.) This was about 1980. That day, Aunt Rosalie was sitting in her living room during a thunderstorm. Suddenly, a lightning bolt entered the room through an open window, crossed the room right in front of her, exited the room through another window, and hit the radio antenna on her car, blasting it off the car! Understandably, she was quite flustered and nervous for the rest of the day. Not that I can blame her. I just found out about her death today, 7/27/2021. Honestly, I didn't even know that she and Uncle Raymond had moved to Texas. (But I'm glad they did, and had assistance in their final years.) Even though our visits were many miles and several years between them, I always knew that Aunt Rosalie and Uncle Raymond loved me. I will miss them.
