Rex Mayberry (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Rex Allen Maberry, age 63, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Monday morning, September 15, 2014, after a long battle with cancer, at his home in Bolivar.
Rex was born on December 21, 1950 to Roy Lee and Ruth Wanne (Kennedy) Maberry, in Wheatland, Missouri.
On June 10, 1972, Rex married Linda Catt, in Bolivar, at the United Methodist Church. To this union two children were born; a son Caleb, and daughter Mandy.
Rex had a varied career, which included owning a boot and repair shop, working in the automotive industry, restoring classic cars, and serving in the Air Force Reserves. Rex was also very patriotic, enjoyed studying military history, and watching westerns. But perhaps his greatest joy came from his friends and family. He had a strong faith, and loved his church family. Rex loved to have company over for cook outs, and quality time. Some of his greatest joys were driving the family our west for vacation.
Rex is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Wanne Maberry.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; one son, Caleb Maberry, and wife, Liaura, of Overland Park, Kansas; one daughter, Mandy Evans, and husband, Nathan, of Bolivar, Missouri; and a host of other family, and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morrisville Assembly of God for Community Outreach.
