Rhonda Widel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Rhonda Lee Widel, daughter of Ronald Lee and Sondra Lee Hall Brewer, was born November 16, 1959, in East St. Louis, Illinois. She departed this life Friday, April 7, 2017, in Mercy St. Francis Hospital, in Mountain View, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, four months, and twenty-one days.
On April 15, 1994, she was united in marriage to Mark Anthony Widel, and they shared the last twenty-three years.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Mark, of the home; five sons, Dustin Brewer, Brentt Barth, Brandon, Dakotah, and Kahlib Widel, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three daughters, Krystyn Metz, of Granite City, Illinois, Megan Hilliard, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Ashley Barth, of the State of Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; a brother, Ronald L. Brewer, of Granite City, Illinois; a sister, Kathy Marshall, of Lebanon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Belleville, Illinois, and graduated from Belleville East High School. She then lived on the East Coast for one year. She and Mark made their home in North Carolina for one year, and then lived in various locations in Illinois for the next ten years. They made their home in Lebanon, Missouri for the last ten years. Rhonda was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family throughout the years.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing craft projects of different kinds, cooking, and was an avid reader. She possessed a loving and giving personality and especially liked having time with her grandchildren.
Rhonda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
