Richard Blackburn (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Richard Lee Blackburn, son of Dewey F. and Bonnie Devore Blackburn, was born February 3, 1958, in the State of Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, November 6, 2022, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Dallas County, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, nine months, and three days.
On June 28, 1991, he was united in marriage to Paula Sue Bagley, and together they raised five children.
He was preceded in death his parents; his wife, Paula, on March 15, 2020; a son, Kenny Keys; a granddaughter, Tiffany; a brother, John Blackburn; and two sisters, Kay Devine and Brenda Ashford.
Richard is survived by his four daughters, Sabrina Garner, and her husband, Jeremy, Charlene Yettaw, and her husband, Brian, Sherry Percival, and her husband, Darrin, and Kim Brown, all of Lebanon, Missouri; twenty grandchildren, Tiffany, Brentney, Kassie, Payton, Kricket, Matthew, Elsie, Kaden, Shawn, Kyler, Kylie, Kennedy, Emily, Michael, Liam, Juston, Krissy, Mya, Amber, and Kainoah; a number of great-grandchildren; a brother, Randy Blackburn, of Lebanon, Missouri; a sister, Jo Donna Young, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born into a military family that made their home in several locations. Richard lived most of his adult years in the Lebanon area. He worked for Independent Stave Company, now Missouri Cooperage, since 1979.
He was very fond of Harley Davidson motorcycles and liked riding motorcycles and being outdoors. He was a hero to his family and was very caring and always willing to help anyone in need. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed having Sunday brunch with his family.
Richard was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
