Richard "Rick" Boose (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Richard Lee Boose, son of Joseph M. and Myrtle I. Farris Boose, was born July 2, 1957, in Kansas City, Kansas. He departed this life Tuesday, February 2, 2021, in Centerpoint Medical Center, in Independence, Missouri, at the age of sixty-three years, and seven months.
On October 16, 1999, he was united in marriage to Monica Jo Jenkins and they shared the last twenty-five years.
His parents preceded him in death.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Monica, of the home; two sons, Richard Joseph “Joe” Boose, and his significant other, Dana, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Stanley Clyde Boose, and his wife, Brittany, of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-daughters, Amanda Robinette, and her husband, Keith, of Liberty, Missouri, and Sarah Smith, of Kansas City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Jaden, Bentley, Anthony, Eli, Bryson, and Lucas Boose, Cameron, Caden, Carson, Adalynn, Kennedy, and Oakley Robinette, and Amiyah Jones; a brother, Robert Boose, of Richmond, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, where he received his education. He then began working as an automobile technician, a career he would maintain for most of his life. He had done auto body painting and also drove a tow truck for some time. He had made his home in the Liberty, Missouri area since 1993, where he and Monica continued to live after they were married.
Richard had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Harmony Heights Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri.
He had a fondness for fast cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His favorite leisure activity was fishing and he also liked deer hunting. He enjoyed collecting guns, cooking for all of his family and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs Football team. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Funeral services for Mr. Boose will be Monday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Keith Robinette. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be Plad Cemetery. Memorials to the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired and the Plad Cemetery have been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
