Richard F Fiegenbaum, Jr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Richard Frederick Fiegenbaum, Jr., son of Richard Frederick Fiegenbaum, Sr. and Alvena Bandermann Fiegenbaum, was born November 19, 1947, in Higginsville, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, January 23, 2021, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, two months, and four days.
On June 29, 1969, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Lydia Maude Croka, and to this union three sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Evelyn, on December 14, 2016.
Richard is survived by three sons, Bruce Fiegenbaum, and his wife, Deanna, of Lebanon, Missouri, Brent Fiegenbaum, and his wife, Tonia, of Plato, Missouri, and Brian Fiegenbaum, and his wife, Jennah, of Lebanon, Missouri; five grandchildren, Deanna, Lucas, Isabella, Triska, and Alivia; a brother, Harvey Fiegenbaum, of Corder, Missouri; a sister, Charlotte Blackwell, of Branson, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in North Central Missouri and graduated from Mayview High School, in Mayview, Missouri. He entered the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the United States Army in a career that spanned twenty-five years. During his years in the Army, he was stationed at various places including Fort Hood, Fort Campbell, and in Germany. He worked as a military helicopter mechanic. After he and Evelyn were married, they made their home in several different places and lovingly raised their sons. After retiring from the Army, the family moved to Plato, Missouri in 1993, and then to Lebanon in 2011. Richard was a civil service employee at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he worked as a mechanic at the Firestone Store for several years.
Richard had attended Sleeper United Methodist Church, near Lebanon for the last several years.
He had served on the Roby Fire Department Board while he lived in Plato, Missouri. He liked vintage vehicles and classic cars and enjoyed tinkering with the mechanical parts. He also liked attending car shows. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren.
Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at Salem Evangelical Church near Arrow Rock, Missouri with Rev. Barb McKenzie and Rev. Marsha Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery near Arrow Rock, Missouri with Full Military Honors.
