Richard Flores' Obituary
Richard Flores was born September 14, 1968, in Fresno, California to Dolly Flores. He passed away Friday morning, March 9, 2007. Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Flores, son, Gavin, and daughter, Sophia. In addition, his extended family includes mother, Dolly, father, Raymond, brother, Timothy, sister, Renee, nieces, Heather, Brittany, Michelle, Ashley, and nephew, Timothy, as well as Grandmother Betty Jo, and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Richard was loved dearly by his family and friends. He will be missed by all. Richard was raised in Fresno, California, where he was an avid athlete, some of which included football, basketball, and triathlons. He attended many colleges but chose the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he met and married his wife. For graduate studies he was recruited by many universities, but chose the University of Nebraska Medical College Lincoln. Richard moved to Missouri, where he practiced at Central Ozarks Dental Clinic, before practicing briefly at Dentures and Dental Services in Camdenton. In his short career, Richard had become a highly reputable and desired dentist. Some of his many achievements included mentoring students in calculus and organic chemistry, being one of the very few undergrads to be published, and having his graduate studies work sited and presented at a continuing education course. He was also a member of the American Dental Association. He loved being a dentist, and he loved helping people, especially children; so much so that he would work every other Saturday with them. He was an avid golfer, a superb handyman, and a best friend. Richard was a genuine lover of life and nature. He loved the outdoors and admiring it while driving in his Cobra with the top down. However, his family and friends were truly the main source of his happiness. Nothing was more important than spending time with them. Unselfish, honorable, kind, passionate, (and the center of his universe); many words describe Richard but none can capture the true essence of the man. He was the inspiration, strength and role model for many. He lived his life with conviction. He was a noble example for his family and friends to follow. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in Fresno, CA. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 - 5:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
