On August 26, 1983, he was united in marriage to Barbara Reedy Moles, and they have shared the last twenty-six years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, June Carlson; and two brothers, Bill and Art Ingraham.
Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; eleven children, Letitia Rose Ingraham, of Houston, Missouri, Virginia Elizabeth “Ginger” Soroka, and husband, Philip, of Port Republic, Maryland, Richard Daniel Ingraham and wife, Julia, of Birchtree, Missouri, Amanda Elanea Ingraham, of the home, Nancy Hughes and husband, Paul, of Hartville, Missouri, Suzanne Davis, of Ronan, Montana, Joy Hochhalter and husband, Stan, of Ronan, Montana, Karen Chaffins and husband, Tim, of Portland, Oregon, Shelley Fisher, of Hartville, Missouri, David House, of Darby, Montana, and Jonathan Moles and wife, Sharon, of Darby, Montana; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Scott Ingraham, of Fulton, Maryland, and Robert Ingraham, of Pflugerville, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in New York, where he attended school. He entered the United States Army, where he served his country faithfully, stationed in Germany, during the Korean Conflict. He later returned to Maryland and later moved to Virginia, where he met and married Barbara. They moved to Wright County and have resided here since. For the last seventeen years Richard and Barbara have lovingly opened their home to children, as they have served as foster parents. Caring for the babies gave him great joy. In earlier years he was a true Mr. Goodwrench, working for Sport Chevrolet, in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Richard had professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of the Liberty Faith Church, in Norwood, where he enjoyed his church family and fellowship. He dearly loved his family and cherished the time spent with them. He had a strong will to succeed and when the challenges of life would arise, he would make or figure out away to overcome it. Over the years he found pleasure in remodeling homes, caring for his yard, being outdoors and listening to music.
Richard was a loving, husband; a devoted father; a treasured grandfather and great-grandfather; a beloved brother and uncle; and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments, and will forever hold dear the memories he created for his family and many friends. He will be greatly missed and will live on in our hearts forever.
