Richard Stanley Kildow's Obituary
Richard Stanley Kildow, son of Alfred Tom and Mabel Neva (Jackson) Kildow, was born January 9, 1946, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He departed this life Thursday, November 4, 2010, in Cox Medical Center, South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, nine months and twenty-five days.
On February 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Lindilee Hurley, and they have shared the last thirty-five years together.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rich is survived by his wife, Lindilee, of the home; two daughters, Julie Ladendorf and her husband, Kurt, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Kimberley Crabtree and her husband, Michael, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth and Sydnee Grace; his sister, Brenda Botard and her husband, Calvin, of Dalton, Arkansas; two brothers, Allen Kildow, of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, and Thomas Kildow, of Pocahontas, Arkansas; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnnie and Nadine Hurley, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmie and Anita Hurley, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Jonesboro and raised in Dalton, Arkansas, where he graduated from Dalton High School. He also attended Arkansas State University for two years. He later moved to the St. Louis area for a few years and in the 1970’s moved to Mountain Grove. Throughout the years he worked in the auto parts business and for several years he was in the cattle buying business, which he greatly enjoyed, especially going to the sale barn.
Richard professed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age, and found great comfort in gospel music. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed being with and visiting with people. He loved all kinds of sports, especially baseball and following his favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals. In his spare time he liked to go fishing and play cards.
Rich was a loving husband; a devoted father and grandfather; a cherished brother and uncle; and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments, and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed, but will live in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon November 8, at 2:00 pm, in Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville Missouri, with burial following in Evening Shade Cemetery, North of Manes, Missouri.
Visitation will be on Sunday evening November 7, 4:00-6:00 pm, in Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville.
