Rick M. Ducusin (Hartville)'s Obituary
Rickardo "Rick" Ducusin, son of Baulio "Brown" Ducusin and Dorothy Clark, was born June 14, 1945, in Salem, Oregon. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at his home in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-one years and twenty-three days.
On November 3, 1965, Rick was united in marriage to Jeanie Frances Wynn and to this union two children were born. Rick and Jeanie spent over fifty wonderful years together in marriage.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Carl Clark.
Rick is survived by his wife Jeanie, of the home; his son, Rick Ducusin and his wife Kelley, of Willard, Missouri; his daughter, Lisa Grace and her husband Jeffrey, of Springfield, Missouri; his mother Dorothy Clark, of Sandy, Oregon; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ducusin, Nathan Ducusin, Cory Grace, and Kayla Grace; one sister, Rita Moots of Woodburn, Oregon; one half-sister, Juril Ducusin of Keizer, Oregon; his niece, Shannon Wilson of Eagle Creek, Oregon; his racetrack son, Paul Hedden of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rick was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and went to Keizer High School where he met many friends. After high school, he dedicated the next three years of his life to the Army in 1963.
He was soon stationed in Ft. Leonard Wood where he met and fell in love with Jeanie in 1965. One month lather they wer united in marriage and would spend the next fifty happy years together.
Rick worked for Kraft Foods as a maintenance man for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on cars and racing them, having amassed four World Championships in AHRA and was inducted into the Drag Racing Hall of Fame. This took Rick and Jeanie all over the country where they grew closer and closer to each other.
In his spare time, Rick loved to hunt, fish, and travel all over the country. He also enjoyed all of his friends at the coffee shop and they all enjoyed his company as well.
Rick loved and enjoyed his family so very much and will be dearly missed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and we are deeply sorrowed at his passing.
