Rick Ridenour (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Richard Dale “Rick” Ridenour, son of Eddie Robert and Lola Ann (Medlock) Ridenour was born October 15, 1956 in Ava, Missouri and departed this life on May 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at the age of sixty-four years, seven months, and nine days.
On February 14, 1988, Rick and Kristy Fitzwater were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri.
Rick worked most of his life as a truck driver. He loved fishing, drag racing, watching Cardinals baseball and driving the Big Rigs.
Rick accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior on May 23, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Lowell, Jerry and Howard Ridenour and 3 sisters, Donna Sue Emerick, Darlene Downs, and Peggy Ridenour.
Rick is survived by his wife, Kristy; two brothers and their spouses, Dean and Barbara Ridenour of Ava and Greg and Jan Ridenour of El Dorado Springs, Missouri; one sister, June Copas of Ozark, Missouri; many nieces and nephews that were special to him and other relatives and friends; and a very special friend, Jerry Garrison; as well as many other truck driving friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Wolf Creek Freewill Baptist Church north of Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.
