Rickie Mills (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Rickie Dean Mills, born December 11, 1949, went home to heaven on December 16, 2018, just in time for Christmas.
Rick is survived by his wife & best friend of
26 years Mary Jane Mills; Daughter, Traci Dunn; Sons, Ricky & Virginia Mills, Andrew Mills; Step-daughters, Shelia & Doug Parker, Christy Pender & George Cole; Sisters Ernestine Rhoten, & Dee Arnold; as well as fifteen grandchildren.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest & Dorothy Mills.
After being drafted in 1970, Rick served in the U.S. Army for 8 years then continued to serve with the Army National Guard for 12 additional years. He was honorably discharged in 1991 with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Rick began his walk with the lord in 1958 when he was saved at High Street Baptist Church. Throughout his life he continued to serve God by participating actively in church in many compacities displaying his faith through is works. His family fondly remembers his love for
guns & hunting, overalls & ball caps, going fast & driving crazy,
bible school & Sundays, traveling & the comforts of home,
but most of all time with family & friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Shockley.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets funeral Home of Buffalo.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Cedar Ridge Church.
