Ricky Lee Moad's Obituary
Ricky Lee Moad, son of Donald L. and Suzie M. Huckaby Moad, was born June 16, 1961, in Columbia, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, March 17, 2007, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of forty-five years, nine months, and one day. On July 19, 1980, he was united in marriage to Theresa Barnett Hildebrand. He was preceded in death by his father; and two children, Aaron Lee and Khala Amber Moad. Ricky is survived by his wife, Theresa Moad, of Lebanon, Missouri; his mother and stepfather, Suzie and Jack Hill, of Lebanon, Missouri; three brothers, Randy Hood, Ronnie Peterson, and Gary Peterson, all of Lebanon, Missouri; four sisters, Joyce Baker, of Lebanon, Missouri, Patty Rogers, of Stoutland, Missouri, Marilee Smalley, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Stephanie German, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; a special companion, Joyce Satthoff, and the family they shared, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. He lived all of his life in the Lebanon, Missouri area. He was trained by his stepfather to be a lineman and had worked for Frasier Brothers for several years. He had also worked for Lowe Boats and later at Voyager Marine. He followed the Free Will Baptist faith throughout his life and was recently baptized while in St. John’s Hospital. He enjoyed country life and liked playing the guitar and singing in his spare time. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed being around children. He was particularly close to his stepfather and always wanted to be like him. Ricky was a loving husband, son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be held immediately follwing the service. Memorials may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
