Dear Cochran Family,
I would like to express my sympathy to your family during this most painful time. Whenever we lose a loved one, especially a child, it creates a void in our heart. My wife and I have not personally experienced that pain, but many of our friends have. I have personally seen how the Bible's resurrection accounts have helped them to cope with the grief. Please read the resurrection account of Jairus' daughter at Mark 5:21-43. It's interesting that after Jesus resurrected the young girl God's Word said that her parents "were beside themselves with great ecstasy". Just think, all that pain and sorrow were instantly removed and replaced with unspeakable joy. Jesus promised to do this again on the earth, but this time on a global scale (John 5:28-29). No doubt, you too look forward to experiencing the same "great ecstasy" when Jesus resurrects Riley! In the meantime, please know that Jehovah God cares for you (Psalms 34:18).
