Rita Jean Teudhope (Lebanon)'s Obituary
On November 17, 1939, Jesse Jacob Thomas and Elinore Barnes Thomas
welcomed their daughter, Rita Jean, into their family. She was born in Parkersburg,
West Virginia. On June 12, 2024, Rita went to her eternal home. She was eighty-
four years, six months and twenty-six days of age at the time of her passing.
Rita moved with her family to Meadville, Pennsylvania when she was a
young girl. As a young girl she took dance lessons for several years. She graduated
high school in Saegertown, Pennsylvania where she played saxophone in the
marching band. She also was a member of the Saegertown Alumni Association.
Following graduation, she was employed at Albro Packing as a secretary.
She later worked at Avtex as a spinner and Pleasant Ridge Manor in the kitchen.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Elinore Thomas; an
infant son; and her brother, Dick Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Hamilton and her husband Earl of
Lebanon, Missouri, her son Ronald Teudhope of Girard, Pennsylvania, five
grandchildren, Autumn Hamilton of Nixa, Missouri, Summer Inman and her
husband Tommy of Lebanon, Missouri, Jonathan Hamilton and his wife Lauren of

and Dustin Teudhope and his wife Juanita of Panama City, Florida, twelve great-
grandchildren, including an adopted grandson, Aarron Teudhope and his wife Riley of Conway, Missouri; and her former husband, Thomas Larry Teudhope.
Rita had a strong and steadfast belief in her Lord Jesus Christ and was a
member of the United Church of Beaver Center for many years. She had many
friends at church and enjoyed worshipping there.
Rita was involved with Sisters in Christ where she crocheted hats, booties,
and afghans that were donated to charities such as the Pregnancy Support Center.
She loved crocheting and helping others by donating her work. Rita also made an
afghan for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they were born.
These are treasured heirlooms of the family.
She loved her family so very much and enjoyed attending ballgames to
watch her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play.
Rita was a woman of deep faith accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior early in life. She found solace and strength in Christ throughout her spiritual journey. Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. the United Church of Beaver Center in Pennsylvania.
