Robert Charles Bench (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert Charles Bench was born July 20, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, March 15, 2013, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, seven months, and twenty-five days.
His father, William V. Bench, preceded him in death.
Robert is survived by his mother, Betty J. (Owens) Bench, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a sister, Tina Killbreath, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; a step-brother, William David Bench, of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-sister, Vicky Hilton, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Lyndi; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and was raised in the Brownfield community, near Lebanon. He attended Gasconade C-4 Schools and graduated from Plato High School. He had worked in automobile body repair and as a factory worker throughout the years.
Robert was raised in the Brownfield Baptist Church.
He possessed a delightful sense of humor and was known as “Barefoot Bob” to his family and friends. He liked wearing crazy and unusual hats and listening to rock and roll music. His family was very important to him and he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Robert was a loving son, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established, and donations may be left at the funeral home.
