Robert, I am so glad that I was able to spend as much time with you as I did. I really was glad that we were able to have our deep and provocative conversations, knowing that you maybe didn't always understand and or agree, but you were always respectful. Most of my memories of Benji include Ember. When he lived in Tecumseh and Ember was tiny he would babysit her sometimes and tell me, "she will be fine, as long as she doesn't poop. I'm not changing her if she poops." And I would go off to work knowing she would be fine, spoiled, but well taken care of. Later on the spoiling continued. I think she saw all the Chucky movies by the time she was five thanks to Uncle Benji.
When she would go to Uncle Gary's for a visit it wasn't him or Ro, or even her Dad that I worried about spoiling her but Uncle Benji. Even though he knew I didn't allow her to play certain video games, he would download them onto his computer for her to enjoy when she came for a visit.
He loved to tease her, and she loved him back for it. Benji will be greatly missed by all of us. He was kind and giving, and there is no one in this world like him. We love and miss you Benji. Love Kristy
All the memories I have of Benji are from family occasions. What I remember most is that, just being around Benji made me happy, and I had great conversations with him when he was older. There was something about him that always made me want to hug him and then hug him again. I had such a wonderful time with him this past New Years, talking about life, playing cards with just him and I. I was so sad to see him leave, and now the tears won't stop. monkey poppy was nice and fun. he loved to wrestle and play five nights at freddys and animal jam with me. I will miss him. may may will miss him too. we all miss him. I loved him very much :'( love ember
