Robert "Bob" Cook (Seymour)'s Obituary
Robert Gene “Bob” Cook went to his heavenly home Sunday, March 5, 2017 in his home. Bob was born May 3, 1940 to Huston William Cook and Helen Lucille (Denney) Cook. He was raised in the Seymour community and attended school in Seymour, graduating from high school with the Class of 1958.
On June 28, 1959 he married Geraldine Milligan and to this union two sons were born, Robert Gregory Cook and Travis William Cook.
Bob’s dream was to become a dairy farmer and after different jobs, his dream became a reality in 1969 when he bought a farm to which he devoted his life. He gave his life to Christ and was a member of the Seymour First Baptist Church.
Bob is survived by his wife Geraldine; two sons Greg and wife Jacque; Travis and wife Heather; 5 grandchildren; 3 sisters Shirley Cook, Linda Shanks and husband Dave, Janice Stott and husband Dave and his uncle Howard Denney and wife Martie as well as nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Joetta Scott-Watson and Susie Ferguson and an infant brother Ronnie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be dropped off at the funeral home for either the Seymour YMCA or St. Jude’s.
