Robert "Bob" Hatmon (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert Eugene Hatmon, son of Robert P. and Bertha Baney Hatmon, was born October 6 1943, near Mountain Grove, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, August 2, 2020, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, nine months, and twenty-seven days.
Robert and Elizabeth began their lives together on July 1, 1993 and on July 1, 2007, he and Elizabeth Viola Pease were united in marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles E. Hatmon; and a grandson, Darrell Rogers.
Bob is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of the home; his children, Robert Paul Hatmon, and his wife, Georgie, of Laquey, Missouri, James Robert Hatmon, and his wife, Cindy, Virginia Louise Warren, Wesley Lamar Hatmon, and Roberta Lynn Peppers, and her husband, Bradley, all of Lebanon, Missouri; his step-children, Ed Keeney, and his wife, Debbie, Steven Keeney, and his wife, Doris, Jeannie Elam, and her husband, Dennis, Jackie Keeney, and his wife, Cindy, all of Lebanon, Missouri, Sarah Stoutenburg, and her husband, Fred, of Caryville, Tennessee, and Brian Lake, of Camdenton, Missouri; four sisters, Betty Elmore and husband Dennis of Lebanon, Karen Seams and husband Rick of Lebanon and Nina Nickels and husband Mike of Nebo, Missouri, and Robin Ash and Husband, Carl of Quapaw, Oklahoma; one brother, Paul Hatmon and wife Carrie of Fairfax, Minnesota; twenty-five grandchildren and step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Marisue Pease, of Marshall, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Waynesville, Missouri area and received his education there. He then began working as a truck driver and continued in that endeavor for several years. He worked as an auctioneer for a time while owning and operating A-1 Septic Service in Lebanon until retiring. After he and Elizabeth were married, they made their home in the Lebanon area and enjoyed their families.
Bob preferred the Baptist faith and had made his peace with the Lord.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and pool, and liked watching his favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals, play ball. He was steadfast in his thoughts and convictions and was always willing to help others. He loved his family and especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son-in-law, uncle and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the memories he made for them during his lifetime.
