Robert Campbell (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Robert Kent Campbell age 72, of Reed Springs, passed away on Monday, May 25th, at his home surrounded by family. Due to a courageous battle of cancer. Robert was born on December 17, 1942, the son of Delmar Campbell and Wilma (Drumright) Campbell.
He was a high school graduate at Pleasant Hope High School and was very proud to be a star basketball player during his high school career. He then attended Drury University, until he started his long career of 42 years in lumber sales at McCray Lumber Company in Kansas City, MO. He was a much respected Salesman in this industry for being the top salesman for forty years.
Robert married the love of his life, Janice Stephens on June 18th and they shared three children together; Robert Kent Campbell II, Teresa Ross and Vicki Lawrence.
He was an active member of the Home Builders Association and Habitat for Humanity both located in Kansas City.
He retired in 2007 and he and his wife Janice traveled until he became ill.
He lived his life fully, enjoying traveling, his farm, antiquing, outdoors, golfing, good friends and good times.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Wilma Campbell and one daughter, Vicki Lawrence.
Surviving him is his wife; Janice Campbell of the home; one son, Robert Kent Campbell II and wife Tammy of Aurora, CO; one daughter Teresa Ross of Springfield, MO, one brother and three sisters.
