Robert "Robby" Carroll, Jr. (Hartville)'s Obituary
Robert Jo Carroll Jr. son of Robert Jo Carroll Sr. and Betty Russell Cook, was born November 11, 1965 in Mansfield, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, January 27, 2020 at his home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-four years, two months, and sixteen days.
On August 17, 2012 Robert was united in marriage to Lanette Dawn Grimes.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Robert Jo Carroll Sr.
He is survived by his wife Lanette, of the home; his two sons, Bobby Carroll and his wife, Krissy and Joey Carroll and his wife, Shawna, both of Grovespring, Missouri; a step-daughter, Kayla Pennington, of Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Grasyn, Nevaeh, Bailey, Colton, Cameron, Westin, Jaelyn, Gavin, and Brenton; his mother, Betty Cook, of Niangua, Missouri; a brother, Chris Cook and his wife, Tanya, of Niangua, Missouri; four sisters, Sally Lee and her husband, Gary, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Cindy Baker and her husband, Johnny, of Lebanon, Missouri, Nancy Kelly and her husband, Rick, of Mansfield, Missouri, and Gail Peltzer and her husband, Brent, of Niangua, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many caring friends.
Robert grew up in the Hartville community and graduated Hartville High School in 1984. After he graduated, he worked several jobs including concrete work and working for the Wright County Sheriff’s Office as an undercover police officer. For the last several years, he had worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as a supervisor in the Camden County area.
Robert was saved and baptized at an early age and was a youth pastor for the First Assembly of God Church in Lebanon for a time.
In his free time, Robert enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed picking on people whenever he could. Robert was a great cook and especially enjoyed cooking for all his family and friends. Most importantly, Robert loved spending time with his family as often as he could. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and caring friend. We celebrate his wonderful life and will always cherish the many happy memories he created.
