Robert Clapp's Obituary
Robert Douglas Clapp, age 85, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away at 10:15pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Parkview Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri after a long illness. He was born December 8, 1923 in Oneonta, New York to Earle R. Clapp and Louise Wellman Clapp. He was a Retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel serving in Word War II and was in the military from April 8, 1944 until retirement on May 1, 1965. He also attended the United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. Robert is survived by his loving wife; Ruth Clapp of Bolivar, Missouri, two step-sons; Robert Prejza and his wife Joyce of Texarkana, Texas, David Prejza of Boerne, Texas, one granddaughter; Jennifer Reglin and her husband Joseph, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Dan Adkison officiating. Burial of Robert's ashes will be at the Glenwood Cemetery in Oneonta, New York at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri.
