Robert Clark, Jr. (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Robert (R.L.) Louis Clark, Jr., son of Robert Louis Clark Sr. and Hazel Beda Clark was born July 18, 1940 in East St. Louis, Illinois. He departed this life on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of seventy-eight years, four months and four days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joyce Ann Clark, two brothers-in-law, Leon Choate and Fred Oberbeck and one son Michael Clark.
He is survived by two sons Gregory Louis Clark and his wife Millie of Mansfield, Missouri; Paul Miles Clark and his wife Tina of Hollister, California; two daughters, Dr. Melissa Ann Lucas of Springfield, Missouri; Robin Louise Clark and her fiancé Tom Zimmerman of Seymour, Missouri.
R. L. is survived by one brother Roddy Clark and his wife Teresa of Mansfield, Missouri; four sisters, Roberta Shank and her husband Carlton of Vandalia, Ohio, Susie Choate and Gwen Oberbeck both of Mansfield, Missouri and Virginia Kelley of Springfield, Missouri, one aunt, Madge Matlock of Mansfield, Missouri. R.L. leaves behind nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.
R. L. was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1958. He owned and operated R.L. Clark Drilling, Inc. in Mansfield for over forty years.
Robert had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a member of the Mansfield United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved raising and showing bird dogs throughout his life.
