Robert L. Cochran (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert (Bob) Lowell Cochran of Lebanon, Missouri was born May 3, 1922 to Nile and Hazel Miller Cochran near Moville, Iowa. He departed this life Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Christian Healthcare South Nursing and Rehab. At the time of his passing, he was 100 years old.
Bob was raised on a farm in Moville, Iowa. After high school, he moved to California and soon after, joined the United States Navy in 1942. On October 22, 1942 he married Pauline Kelsey and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
Bob took dental training on a GI Bill and in 1957 he opened a dental laboratory in Lebanon which he operated for 38 years. The laboratory was a wonderful addition to the Lebanon community and surrounding area and was utilized by dentist throughout the area. Bob took great pride in his business and enjoyed helping others through the business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline, on May 22, 2011, five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by one daughter, Sandra Hurt and her husband, Byron; two sons, Gary Cochran and his wife, Soraya and Greg Cochran and his wife, Barbara; a very special niece, Patty Bogan and her husband, Victor; six grandchildren, Scott, Stephanie, Shawn, Chris, Jeremy and Jason; twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends he made through the years.
Bob was a member of Southern Heights Christian Church in Lebanon.
Bob was a hard worker and left a wonderful legacy for his children and grandchildren to learn from. He was a very loving man and we know his family will cherish the memories he created for them.
Memorial service for Robert Cochran will be Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Conway, Missouri.
A memorial has been established to Central Christian College in Moberly, Missouri and donations may be made at the funeral home.
