He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Larry “Buck” Ellison.
James is survived by his daughter, Rcena Maness and husband, Tommy, of Springfield, Missouri; granddaughter, Lola Maness of Springfield; his mother, Emogene Jenkins of Seymour; four brothers, his twin, Joe, Ricky, Roger, and Bo all of Seymour; two sisters, Robin Denney of Seymour and Rhonda Denney of Ava; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was born and raised in the Ava/Seymour area and was a graduate of Ava High School in the Class of 1974. He lived most of his adult life in Kansas City, Missouri returning to Seymour in 2014.
James was a “jack of all trades and a master of none”. In his spare time, he collected “junk” and knick knacks and thoroughly enjoyed aggravating and BS ing family and friends and being outdoors.
James was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. We celebrate his life and will treasure the fun times we had together.
Arrangements are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
