Robert Dierks' Obituary
Robert Lee Dierks, the youngest son of six children, born to Emma (Soll) Dierks and Herman Dierks, at Bloomfield, NE, left this life on July 26, 2012, at the age of 80 years and 10 months of age. He died peacefully at his home near Grovespring, MO.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margery Dierks, his parents, three brothers, George Dierks of Iowa, Paul Dierks of Springfield, MO, Norman Dierks, who died in Korea, and a sister, Mary Bean of Florida and a grandson, Joshua Jordan.
He is survived by 7 children, Robert A. Dierks and his wife, Peggy of Grovespring, MO; Kathleen Fritz and her husband Richard of Hartville, MO; Rebecca Jordan and her husband Denny of Grovespring, MO, Jeanne Marty and her husband Pete of Lebanon, MO; Paul Dierks of Niangua, MO; Jackie Norman of Kansas City, KS; Dawn and Mike Shannon of Lebanon, MO, 1 sister, Anna Marie Feley of Northwood, Iowa, 4 sisters-is-law, Elaine Dierks of Osage, Iowa and LaVonne Dierks of Springfield, MO; Marilyn Voorhies and her husband Terry of Texas and Donna Monnahan of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and step grandchildren and step great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert enjoyed spending time with all of his family members.
Robert was a hardworking farmer having grown up in Nebraska and Iowa and eventually moving to Missouri and making his home in Grovespring, MO. He ran a large commercial poultry operation as well as a large beef operation and raising hogs. Robert also retired from MFA Inc., having run their fertilizer plant at Grovespring, MO for several years and helping out at the Conway, MO fertilizer plant.
Robert will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Robert will be held at 10:00 am Monday July 30, 2012 in Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville, Missouri, with burial to follow in Mt Pisgah cemetery, Grovespring, Missouri.
The family will recieve friends from 4-5:30 Sunday evening July 29 2012 in the funeral home.
