Robert Dixon's Obituary
Robert Lee Dixon, age 78 of Fair Play, Missouri passed away at 8:00am, Friday, February 13, 2009 at his home. He was born March 2, 1930 in Independence, Kansas to Glen W. Dixon and Josephine Alberta Oliver. He was a Load Master for the United States Military and retired from the United States Air Force having served in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Clovis, New Mexico, lifetime member of the American Legion Post in Bolivar, Missouri, lifetime member of the DAV, and a member of the Masons. Robert is survived by his brother; Cecil Dixon and his wife Betty of Fair Play, Missouri, and a sister; Myrtle Harrington and her husband Al of Louisburg, Missouri. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with Full Military Honors provided by the United States Air Force from Whiteman Air Force Base and the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri with Chaplain James O.
