Robert Doehring, Sr. (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Robert Lloyd Doehring Sr., 58, passed away on March 8, 2025 at his home in Conway, Missouri.
Born on June 28, 1966, in Effingham, Illinois, Robert—affectionately known as Rob—lived a life full of love, generosity, and dedication to family and community. He was a man with a big presence and an even bigger heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Rob found immense joy in spending time with his family and friends. Whether he was fishing by a quiet pond, showing cows at livestock events, or simply sitting on the bench in his front yard sharing stories, he cherished every moment. Traveling was another passion of his, especially when it meant taking trips with his beloved wife Sherry and their grandchildren. His love for working with youth was evident in the way he engaged with them, always striving to be involved and make a difference in their lives.
Rob is survived by his wife, Sherry “Sam” Doehring of Conway MO; son Robert Doehring Jr. of Conway MO; son Vernie Doehring and wife Shiloh of Rockdale, Texas; daughter Tiffany Meadows of Springfield MO; and daughter Becky Doehring of Conway MO. He also leaves behind six granddaughters and one grandson, Sister Tara and her Husband David Peadro of Windsor IL, and his brother Ronnie and wife Rita Doehring of Sullivan IL, and nieces and nephews, along with many others whom he lovingly referred to as his "adopted children and grandchildren."
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Marilyn Doehring; Sister, Amy Ann; His in-laws, Robert and Frances Mayberry; grandparents Harry and Mildred Hall; grandparents Amy Lowe & Vernie Doehring; as well as multiple aunts and uncles.
A visitation followed by a service will be held on Tuesday March 11th at Cantlon Otterness and Viets Funeral Home, located at 931 W. Main St., Buffalo, Missouri. The visitation will begin at 5pm and the service will follow.
Rob's kindness, warmth, and unwavering support for those around him will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched.
