Robert Hailey (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Robert Eugene Hailey, son of Bobby Eugene and Georgie Dearin Hailey was born May 10, 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on September 23, 2012 at his home in Salem, Missouri at the age of forty-three years, four months and thirteen days.
On July 7, 1995 he was united in marriage to Melissa Snyder and to this union six children were born.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Parker.
Robert is survived by his wife, Melissa of the home; seven children, Amber, Autumn, Trebor, Ciara, Krista & Trenton Hailey all of the home and Sigfried Bauer of Germany; his mother, Georgie Massey of Mansfield, Missouri; three sisters, Carla Hailey of Mansfield, Missouri, Janice Reynolds of Osage Beach, Missouri and Christy McBride of Mtn. Grove, Missouri as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was born in St. Louis but grew up in Paragould, Arkansas. After graduating from high school he joined the National Guard and then the Army where he served his country faithfully in the Persian Gulf War.
After an honorable discharge from the Army, Robert attended college, majoring in criminal justice.
Robert lived in Salem with his family where he worked as a correctional officer for the State of Missouri at South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri until he became disabled due to his military service.
He was of the Baptist faith and in his spare time he liked to fish, hunt, ride his motorcycle and being outdoors. But most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Robert was a loving husband, father, son and brother and a caring neighbor and friend. Although we are shocked at his sudden passing, we know that his war is finally over.
