Robert Highfill (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Robert L. “Bob" Highfill, 87, of Bolivar went home to be with his Lord on
Saturday, February 17 .
Surviving are his wife of 64 plus years; Juanita (Butler) Highfill; a son,
Mathew Highfill; a sister, Frances Cline; grandchildren, Darren and Emma
Nicole Bridges, Kevin and Emily Wisdom, and Bethany Highfill; and great grandchildren Aubrey Nicole Holstine, Maddie Nicole Wisdom, and Scarlett Rose Bridges; and "adopted" children Dave and Sarah Falke and April Whaley and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy L. Highfill; his parents Bennett Dred and Helen Leah (Smith) Highfill; sisters and brothers-in-law Al and Eloise Clark and Clel "Toby" and Lois Dirck.
Bob served as a volunteer at Citizens Memorial Hospital and Community Outreach Center in Bolivar and as an ordained deacon at Bales Baptist Church in Kansas City. His hobbies included running, having competed in Hospital Hill runs in Kansas City, Scripture memorization, Bible reading and door-to-door evangelization.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to First Baptist Church, Bolivar, Missouri "Living Beyond Us", campaign.
