Robert Hudson's Obituary
Robert Lee Hudson, age 87, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away at 2:30pm, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Citizen’s Memorial Healthcare Center Facility in Bolivar, Missouri. He was born October 2, 1921 in Harper, Missouri to Newton Thomas Hudson and Sally Margaret Gardner Hudson. He grew up near Weaubleau, Missouri He was a Warehouseman for Teamsters Union Local #41 in Kansas City, Missouri and was a United States Navy Veteran, Storekeeper Third Class, having served in World War II. He was a member of the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Bolivar. He loved fishing for crappie, hunting mushrooms and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Clayton Lee Hudson who died in 1975, four brothers, and four sisters. Robert is survived by two daughter; Karen Sue Brumfield of Lowry City, Missouri and Jill Ann Sweeney of Livingston, Texas, a sister; Betty Dobson of Kansas City, Kansas, eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, March 16, 2009 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Chaplain James Friend officiating. Burial will follow at the Iconium Cemetery in Iconium, Missouri (near Osceola, Missouri) with Military Honors provided by the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri. A visitation will be from 2:00-3:00pm, Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the funeral home.
