My last visit with Bob, he continued to remain positive while quietly dealing with his pain continuing to show that he was a man among men, a leader with respect for family and others and not complaining about his condition. My first outing with Bob was with his brothers on a fishing trip when he demonstrated resolve even with brothers to step in and slow down and stop the endless kidding of the youngest he brought along even though I was handling the kidding and pushing he quietly arranged for us to continue our fishing and running of the limb lines without the belittling that come to a newcomer. Bob was always demonstrating life was to be lived and enjoyed under all conditions that you may find yourself dealing with. I will miss Bob because he always seems to demonstrate the best qualities to emulate.
Kay: I am so sorry for your loss. I don't believe we've ever met, but as a lifelong friend of Susan Rector, I'm aware of how much Bob meant to her and her family. Sending my thoughts, prayers and virtual hugs to all of you.
