Robert M. Johnson, Sr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert Monroe Johnson, Sr. of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in his home. He was born June 5, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia to Benjamin Johnson and Rachel Marion. At the time of his passing, Robert was sixty-nine years, nine months and three days of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Benjamin; his sister, Wilda; and a grandson, James Brice.
Robert is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, Robert Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Ashley of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandsons, Charles, Desmond and Jacob; and two sisters, Anna and Lenora.
He spent his early years in Atlanta and moved to West Virginia in December, 1977. He married Mary on December 17, 1978 and they made their home in West Virginia, then moved to Ohio and lived there for ten years before moving to Missouri in April of 2009.
Robert served faithfully for the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, Robert worked as an exterminator in Atlanta, then worked in Lebanon at one of the nursing homes, D. & A. Distributing and Laclede Industries.
He enjoyed hunting and guns and later in his life, discovered he liked fishing. Most of all, Robert loved his family and spending time with his grandsons. They were very special to him and he looked forward to being with them as much as possible.
He will be missed by his family and friends and they will cherish the many memories they made with him during his lifetime.
