Robert Kerns (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert Ashby Kerns, son of Samuel Delaney and Joyce Evelyn (Davison) Kerns, was born January 28, 1963 in Remington, Virginia. He departed this life Friday, May 29, 2026 at his home in Falcon, Missouri, surrounded by his family.
When Robert was a toddler, his family moved to Edison, New Jersey where he was raised. As a teenager, Robert enjoyed hanging out with his friends and racing cars.
In 1982, Robert showed his strength when he survived a traumatic brain injury. Following his accident, Robert stayed active by walking everywhere, watching sports and spending time with family. In the late 1980’s, Robert moved with his family to Lebanon, Missouri.
Over the years, Robert was employed as a dishwasher at Bell Restaurant and the Bennett Spring Dining Lodge. When he wasn’t working, Robert could be found bowling, watching the Yankees, or watching a western on television.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Delaney Kerns, Sr. in 1995 and Joyce Evelyn Kerns in 2022; his sister, Sharon Kerns in 2025 and three nephews, Michael Lee Kerns (1999), Harlen Ruppert (2015) and Bryan Kerns (2022).
Robert is survived by his siblings, Deborah Kerns (Haden, Jr.) of Falcon, Missouri, Samuel Delaney Kerns, Jr. (Amanda) of Lebanon, Missouri, and Nick Kerns (Karen) of Jackson, New Jersey; his nephews, Nicholas, Johnny, Keith, Samuel Ryan, Richard and Lincoln; his nieces, Wendy, Joyce Ann, Alexis and Raven; and other relatives.
Robert lived his life to the best of his ability and he loved his family deeply. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Services for Robert Ashby Kerns will be private.
