Robert Don Luthy (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Robert Don Luthy, son of Richard B. and Nellie M. Lane Luthy, was born January 15, 1934, near Phillipsburg, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, January 5, 2015, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, eleven months, and twenty-one days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Tom Luthy; and three sisters, Clara Hall, Nellie Mathis, and Grace VanHoosier.
Robert is survived by two brothers, Lewis Luthy, and his wife, Jerry, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Preston Luthy, and his wife, Shirley, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon area, and attended Washington School. He had resided in a group home in Springfield for many years, and greatly enjoyed the friendships he made there.
Robert made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized early in his life and had attended Washington Christian Church.
In his younger years he had enjoyed being outdoors where he particularly liked to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed playing checkers. His family was very dear to him and he greatly loved spending time with his brothers, nieces and nephews.
Robert was a loving brother, uncle, cousin, and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
