He and Jean lovingly raised their children there while Ken worked for the City of Kansas City. He retired after thirty-nine years of service as a maintenance supervisor at the Municipal Auditorium. They retired to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1989. Ken was a member of the Laurie Elks Lodge and had served as Captain for the Northwest Fire Protection District. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and in his spare time enjoyed boating and skiing. He was a nostalgic man, who liked old trucks and old western movies. He enjoyed Irish music and has always longed to make a trip to Ireland where his grandpa was born. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ken was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
