I have great memories of growing up on a farm in those Ozark hills near Phillipsburg, MO with cousins by the dozens for frequent family activities. Mike was my closest male cousin and we got to share the adventures of boys living on the farm wandering through the woods, fishing in the pond, hanging out at grandma Fishers, building that tree house together etc. etc.!
Mike was a great companion for our youth and though time and many miles have separated us. I know he went on to be great husband, father and grandfather too. We will all miss him very much,

I knew Mike Schaeffer when I was a kid. He was the principal and teacher for the 7th and 8th grades at the Phillipsburg Missouri School. He was a great teacher and principal. He was very well liked by all of the students. We send our condolences and prayers for his family and friends. RIP Mr. Schaeffer.
