Robert E. Seufert, Sr. (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Robert E. Seufert, Sr., age 76, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away on Sunday afternoon, August 31, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Robert was born August 7, 1938 in Welston, Missouri, the son of Frank Seufert and Viva (Revelle) Seufert.
He graduated in 1956 from Ellington High School in Ellington, Missouri. Robert was united in marriage to Shirley Lollar on September 26, 1959 at the New Hope Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union two sons were born. Robert worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri for 37 years until his retirement. In recent years, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. Robert enjoyed the outdoors and everything that came with it. He loved hunting, fishing, and simply spending time in God’s country.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Viva; step-father, Frank Decker; his wife, Shirley who passed on January 10, 2007; two sisters, Harriet Whitchurch and Betty Cantor; a nephew, Larry Whitchurch; and a niece, Gina Counts.
Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert E. Seufert, Jr. and Galen Dale Seufert, both of Bolivar; a brother, Ken Decker and his wife Harriet of Springfield, Missouri; a sister, Karen Miller of Warrenton, Missouri; a special niece, Debbie Fairchild Mays of Rockford, Illinois; two special friends, Wayne Bales of Rolla, Missouri and Terry Gene Fox of Bolivar; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the Doctors and Nurses for the care, warmth and compassion they provided to Robert.
