Robert Skow's Obituary
Robert William Skow, son of William and Mabel Richardson Skow was born October 16, 1913 in Omaha, Nebraska. He departed this life Monday, February 4, 2008 in Windsor Estates, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-four years, three months and nineteen days. He was united in marriage to Mary Louis Baskett and together they shared many happy years until her passing on January 14, 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Skow and Richard Skow. Survivors include special friends, Mike and Candy James, Tyler, Jonathan and Sarah James and Eunice Webster, all of Macks Creek, Missouri; two brothers, Don Skow and Leonard Skow; four sisters, Marie Helm, June Hughes, Catherine Shannon and Connie Riddle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country proudly in World War II and the Korean War. The military became his career where he served as a mess hall supervisor and retired after twenty-four years of service. After he and his wife retired to the lake area, he worked as a house painter. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Baptist Church of Camdenton. Bob loved his church, and served as a deacon for many years and was active in many areas of the church. Bob was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He touched many lives and left many wonderful memories for his family and friends to treasure. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008, in Allee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
