Robert V. Schulz's Obituary
Robert V. Schulz was born October 26, 1913 in Lima, Ohio. He departed this life, Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of ninety-two years, eight months and two days. On February 12, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Evelyn Duke and together they shared forty-one years until her passing on November 30, 1994. He was also preceded in death by his parents, William L. and Lenna Schulz; a daughter, Gayanne Wolfe; a son-in-law, Howard Wolfe and a grandson, Michael Wolfe. He is survived by two sons, William Edward Schulz and wife Jeanne of St. Charles, Missouri and W. Lee Stebbins of Dayton, Ohio; five granddaughters, Kerri Keane and husband Mark of St. Charles, Missouri, Sandra L. Wolfe and husband Larry of Independence, Missouri, Kathryn Verlin and husband Ron of Louisburg, Kansas, Linda Adams and husband Randy, and Suzie Bott and husband Warren, all of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; nieces and nephews and the love of his life, his faithful dog, Princess. Robert was raised in Ohio and attended school there. After graduating from high school he served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he lived in Michigan where he was trained as a metal lather. He then moved to the Kansas City area where he lived during most of his working career. He then retired to the lake area. He drove a bus for the Camdenton School District for 10 years as well as driving for Camden County Heart and Meals-on-Wheels. Robert was a member of the Camdenton Moose Lodge #2322. In his spare time, Robert enjoyed working with his hands. He also enjoyed Cardinals baseball and watching Tiger Woods play golf. Robert was a loving father, grandfather and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 1, 2006, in the Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery, Camdenton. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 - 11:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations to the Dogwood Animal Shelter may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
