Robert "Bob" Van Holt (Humansville)'s Obituary
Robert (Bob) Van Holt Sr. passed away from this life into God’s arms on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at his home in Humansville, Missouri.
Bob was born on September 27, 1941, the first son of Lorraine and Edward Van Holt.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army 1961-1962. He was honorably discharged in 1963. After his time in the service, he was married to Susan K. Blacksten in Bloomingdale, Michigan on July 27, 1963. They celebrated 58 wonderful years of marriage together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine and Edward Van Holt and a brother, Eddie Van Holt.
Bob is survived by his wife, Susan of the home; three sons, Robert Van Holt Jr. and his wife Sandra of Collins, Missouri, Matthew Van Holt from Humansville, Missouri, and Tony Van Holt from Independence, Missouri; one daughter; Connie Dehart and her husband Steve Dehart of Weableau, Missouri; one brother, Tommy Van Holt and Ann of Humansville, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Ashlee Robinson, Zach Van Holt, Anthony Van Holt, Matthew Van Holt II, Josh Bays, Abby Van Holt, Emily Van Holt – Anderson, Katrina Richardson, Kimberly Van Holt and Stephanie DeHart; along with 19 great grandchildren.
Bob will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, Missouri. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
