Robert W. Fauvelle (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Robert Fauvelle Jr. passed away Friday afternoon after a battle with cancer. “Bob” was born November 19th, 1945 to Robert Fauvelle Sr. and Billy Ann Fauvelle in Corsicana, Texas.
He showed an early aptitude for Science and Engineering by building an un-blocked transmitter radio at age 12. This resulted in a home visit by the FCC. As a junior in High School, he won the National Science Fair.
On a summer job in Lake Charles, he met his future wife, Janice Sonnier whom he married in June 1966. He received a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Houston. He began working for Shell Chemical where he worked until he took early retirement. He then played duplicate bridge and moved on to Tournament Bridge in Ohio.
Bob and Jan moved to Bolivar Missouri 17 years ago. Bob continued Bridge in Bolivar. He served as president of the Over Fifty Club, where he began a weekly bridge game and a weekly pool game. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking the fruit of his labor.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Fauvelle, two children: Robert Fauvelle III of La Place, Louisiana and Angie Rose of Southaven, Mississippi, his father: Robert Fauvelle Sr. of Halfway, Missouri; his siblings: David Fauvelle of Rosenberg, Texas, William Fauvelle of Houston, Texas, and Jayne Conarno of Missouri City, Texas. He has seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emily, Jodi, and Jacob Rose of Southaven, Mississippi and Jade, Athena, and Elize Fauvelle of La Place, Louisiana.
Visitation will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bolivar from 9:30 to 10:30 am. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011.
A Funeral Mass Of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am, Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2001 with Father Pat Wissman officiating. Burial at Crestview Memorial Gardens Cemetery east of Bolivar under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar. Soup and sandwiches will be served at the parish hall after burial.
