Robert Wheeler (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Robert Wheeler, 83, of Bolivar, MO, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at Citizens’ Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO.
Robert was born on October 1, 1934. Throughout his life, Robert loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed racing cars as well as simply being a spectator at races, as well as taking fishing trips to North Dakota or Minnesota with his family. When it came time to relax, he loved spending the winter in Texas with his loving wife, Dorothy.
Robert was a handy man, and received great joy when restoring old cars. His most recent project was a 1965 Plymouth Satellite that he and Dorothy had purchased new in 1965. Robert was also an experienced pilot, and had the privilege of owning several planes throughout his years.
Robert enjoyed life to the fullest with his loving family and the best of friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Jessie McBride Wheeler, his parents-in-law, Charles and Elma Trammell, his brothers, Claude Wheeler and Richard Wheeler, his brothers-in-law, Bud Trammell and Dale Marler, and a niece, Connie Lee.
Robert is survived by the love of his life and wife of 61 years, Dorothy Trammell Wheeler. He is also survived by his sister, Gladys Marler, his sister-in-law, Shirley Trammell, his nephews, Bruce Trammell and Todd Trammell, his nieces, Betty Wheeler and Robin Trammell, his close cousins, Sonny Trammell and wife Juanita, and Larry Trammell. He is also survived by his uncle, Donny McBride and wife Betty.
