Roberta Fae Jenkins (Humansville)'s Obituary
Roberta Fay Jenkins was born February 8, 1927 to Claude E Hart and Carrie Allison of Urich, Missouri. She grew up in the Urich and Clinton area working on the family farm and attending school. On March 2, 1947 she married Alvia Webb. Together they had a daughter Scherry Webb. Eventually the marriage was dissolved and Roberta and Scherry continued to reside in the Independence, Missouri area. Eventually Roberta met and married Lyle Jenkins. Roberta and Lyle were married on November 22, 1969. Together they lived in the Independence area until Lyle retired. After Lyle retired they moved to the Jenkins family farm in Dunnegan, Missouri. There they both enjoyed farming, gardening and being together. Eventually they felt the need to downsize and move to the Stockton Lake area where they both enjoyed taking life easy. Roberta is proceeded in death by Alvia Webb and Lyle Jenkins. She is survived by her daughter, Scherry Webb, two grandsons, Rodney Allen and his wife, Tina Allen, and Shawn Smead and his wife, Sherry Smead. She has three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Roberta was loved by everyone that she met. She treated everyone like they were a long-lost friend or family member. She had a giving heart and always looked for the best in people. She reflected the influence of Jesus in her life by giving back to everyone in need. She was particularly fond of children's homes and Christian organizations that provide shelter for orphaned or troubled children. She always stated that she did not know why everyone thought she was so special. If you knew her, you knew why she was so special. The love she shared was contagious and is an example we can all strive to learn from.
