In 1971, she was united in marriage to Elmer Earl Johnson, and they shared nineteen years before his passing in 1990.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lorena Digiordano; and three sisters, Frances, Ann, and Almeda.
Roberta is survived by three sons, Michael McNabb, and his wife, Gloria, John McNabb, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Loren McNabb, of Kaiser, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; a number of great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Slover, of the State of Colorado, Leon Slover, and Wilbur Slover, both of the State of California; a sister, Vera Vogue, and her husband, Paul, of the State of Washington; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri, and then moved to Colfax, California. She made her home in California for several years, and worked for Lockheed Aircraft Company in San Francisco, as well as did other jobs connected to the World War II effort. She then was trained as a secretary and in nursing, but focused her career in secretarial work for many years. In the 1990’s, she returned to Lebanon, and made her home.
Roberta followed the Pentecostal faith, and had attended Oasis Worship Center for the last few years.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing board games and going on picnics. Having time with her family was always special to her and she greatly enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
Roberta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her eighty-eight years.
