Roberta Louise Rasor (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Roberta Louise Rasor passed away on May 8, 2026. She was born to Robert and Jean Wood on April 22, 1953, in Archie, MO. She attended Southwest Baptist College (now SBU) in Bolivar, MO, earning a Bachelor of Music degree. It was there she met the love of her life, Tom Rasor, and the two married on December 13, 1974, at First Baptist Church in Bolivar. From there, they moved to Independence, MO, where they raised their two girls, Rachel and Beka, and where Roberta taught elementary education for 30 years. In 2006, the couple moved from Independence back to Bolivar, to be closer to their daughters. She would go on to earn her Masters in Education and to become the Registrar of SBU, retiring in 2024. Roberta laid down her life to take care of her family and was the pure definition of selflessness. She was full of wisdom, patience and was a woman of strong faith. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tom, and their daughters, Rachel (Mike) Tennison, and Beka Rasor, and two grandsons: Andrew and Ethan Tennison. Private family services will be held at a later date.
