Roberta A. Rieske (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Roberta Ann Rieske, daughter of Frank and Patricia Boe Sexauer, was born November 14, 1940 in Bemidji, Minnesota. She departed this life September 28, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 5 days. On April 11, 1964 she was united in marriage to William Leslie Rieske. He preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter, Kelli.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Jean Gobet and her husband Thomas of Lebanon, Missouri, and Patricia Ann Early of Tucson, Arizona. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
She grew up in Ohio and had lived in both Cincinnati and the Blanchester communities. She was a graduate of Blanchester High School. She and her husband worked in Minnesota and Arizona as property managers in several different apartment complexes. She moved to Lebanon after the death of her husband in 2001 and made her home here for the rest of her life.
She became a member of the Second Baptist Church in Lebanon and was active in every area of church life. She had taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and worked on mission trips. Her faith was central in her life and her love for the Lord was very evident in her daily life. She loved sports, especially football and basketball. Her love for her family was very evident as she followed their many accomplishments.
Roberta will be cherished in the hearts of her friends and family and her legacy as a christian lady will follow her in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations to the Second Baptist Church, may be made through the funeral home.
