He had a love for sports and was a fan of both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals. He was an avid reader, liked discussing politics, exploring genealogy and reading about the Laclede and Wright county histories. He enjoyed his privacy but was very likeable and possessed a good sense of humor. He enjoyed family dinners and liked spending time with his mother, brother, sister, niece and nephews.
