Roger Jasper (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Roger Lee Jasper, son of the late Jesse James and Ollie Marie (Junkins) Jasper was born on April 20, 1955 in Buffalo, MO, and departed this life on March 7, 2018 at his home near Long Lane, MO. At the time of his passing he was 62 years, 11 months, and 16 days of age.
Roger was reared and attended school in Long Lane and Buffalo. He was united in marriage to Rosemary Diane Hesler on January 13, 1973, and to this union two daughters were born, both of whom survive him. He worked at Gotts Feed Mill for a short time before beginning his career working for the City of Buffalo. He started as the trash collector before moving to the road department. He later became supervisor and continued serving his community until he retired in 2014 after 39 years of service. Roger loved hunting, fishing, and trail riding. He was a member of the Long Lane Lions Club, Missouri Fox Trotters, and the Missouri Coon Hunters. He was saved and baptized at an early age and had recently rededicated his life to Christ. He was a faithful member of the Buffalo First Christian Church.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Jasper; and three sisters, Daisy Todd, Faye Williams, and Mae Coke. He is survived by his wife Rosemary of the home; two daughters, Jennifer & husband Mark Simon of Buffalo, MO and Amy & husband Donnie McNatt of Buffalo, MO; one sister, Helen Sue & husband Bob Lawson of Strafford, MO; six grandchildren, Hailey & husband Jacob, Lacey, Brandon, Chase, Rebecca, and Kevin; and one sister-in-law, Billie Jasper-Hicks. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him.
